Today I had the opportunity to listen to a great talk by Josh Coats at the Connect Business Ignitor series. Josh is currently running Berkely Data Systems and their first offering is www.mozy.com a free internet backup service. Josh talked about Mozy and why they are making it free. He said that there are several companies that are providing paid internet backup and that they are all pretty much doing it wrong. Mozy offers incremental backups that are configurable through a desktop app that you download.

I’m pretty intrigued by this based on my recent hard drive crash experience, not to mention Aaron’s. I’m planning on downloading and installing it in the next day or so.

This meeting was a lot of fun, I was able to meet several new people including Garrett Smith and Chris Sandberg
