I blogged the other day that I was really interested in the upcoming Riya technology. I’m waiting to get my alpha sign in still, hoping for it soon Anyway, I just read a post on TechCrunch that Michael got to play with it already - check out his review! This stuff is incredible! I agree with Michael that Riya is going to be a serious player in the near future.

If you’re still wondering, and haven’t clicked those links I posted, Riya is facial recognition and tagging software. It will analyze your digital photos, identify the people that are in them and start asking you who people are. Once you’ve identified someone, it will start recognizing that person in subsequent photos. So, if you’re like me and have thousands and thousands of pictures on your hard drive, you can finally get them all tagged up so you know who’s in what pic. Like I said, I can’t wait to use this!
