Tonight I went to the Utah Ruby User Group in Salt Lake with a group of great guys from down here in the valley. It’s always fun to network and hang out with other programmers, these guys are really into Ruby on Rails and really know stuff. The meeting was pretty interesting, they talked about optimizing Ruby with profilers and loggers. Then there was a presentation on what’s coming up in Rails and new features in it. Finally, we had a very in depth presentation on what’s coming in the IO language. Some pretty heavy stuff there, it looks like it’s going to be cool.
