The other major productiviy boost I’ve taken lately is getting setup with 4smartphone.com. I blogged the other day that I had been looking at hosted exchange with a local vendor, they wanted $800/month to provide service for 15 of my employees. I asked one of my friends, Ryan Money, what he was using for hosted Exchange service and he told me about 4smartphone.com. So I went and checked it out.

4smartphone.com offers hosted Exchange including email, calendars, tasks, contacts, etc for only $9/month. With this service, I just forward all of my email accounts (I have about 15) to 4smartphone and it will manage the synchronization for all my computers. The synching thing has been a huge issue for us - I have my Treo, my PC Laptop, my Mac PowerBook and I use web based email a lot on other computers. Guess what happens when all of that gets out of synch - i don’t know which of my 100’s of emails a day I’ve already read. Now, 4smartphone is synhing them all up. When I read something on my Treo it shows up as read on both laptops and on the web. If I add a contact on my laptop it shows up everywhere else within a couple minutes. No more plugging in my phone to synch everything!

Between this and getting my new AirCard yesterday I’m already feeling much more productive and coordinated.
