Wrapping another trip to San Francisco

Well, I’ve been in San Francisco most of the week and it’s been an eventful trip. I came in on Wednesday evening to attend the 451 Group’s OSBC open house, thanks to Raven Zachary for the invite! I met several people there and found out about BarCamp Austin going on on Saturday during SxSW. That evening, Raven, Chris Messina, Tara Hunt, Jennifer Myronuk and I went to this great Raw Food restaraunt. I’ve never been to one before and it was interesting to see all the interesting ways they had of preparing traditional meals with Raw, Vegan ingredients. It was delicious by the way.

Thursday I worked from the hotel room most of the day, then in the evening attended the Pre-Pre-Supernova dinner with Kevin Burton. I met up with several interesting people there and had a good time. After that, Kevin and I headed over to the GeekEntertainment.tv 1000 subscriber party. I ran into Scott Beale there and a whole bunch of other people.

On Friday I worked from the hotel room most of the morning, then headed to Palo Alto to meet with Andy Fitzhugh. After our meeting, I went over to HitWise and met with a salesperson who showed me their product – they have some incredible data, but it’s very expensive! That evening was the main event for this trip, the TechCruch Party #5 where Robert Scoble and Shel Israel were doing a launch party for their new book, Naked Conversations. Incidentally, I’ve been reading Naked Conversations and it is definately a must read! It gives some awesome insights and data on the history and current uses of blogging for businesses.

My plans for Saturday got cancelled, there was nothing listed on upcoming.org and being Saturday, businesses were closed. So, I decided I would go home Saturday morning – but there wasn’t a single flight to SLC available. So I spent the day at the hotel getting caught up on some work and email.

Now, I’m sitting in the Oakland Airport waiting for my delayed flight. In fact, it’s here and I don’t have time to link to everything in this post, oh well, off I go.
