We’re back. We got home last night and unloaded the cars and crashed pretty early. It was nice to sleep in a bed again! On the drive home we stopped by Cove Fort and took the tour, it was pretty interesting. I’ve uploaded a few pictures to Flickr from the trip, more to come later. Here’s a couple of the family hiking though:
In this one, you can see how we are able to get 3 babies up the mountain – Talysa has Serenity in an infant backpack, Indigo is in my Kelty Toddler backpack and Taran has a leash on – he and Indigo take turns riding in the pack, but when they’re walking I am often carrying them. They’re 30 pounds each so I’m usually dragging an extra 60 pounds up the mountain. That is, unless Naiya is tired too, then I’m carrying her 40 pounds as well for a total of 100 extra pounds of lugging!
Here’s some of the wildlife I managed to get pictures of:

Sounds like tons of fun, thanks for inviting me!!!!! Anyway we’re gonna go hiking up Battle Creek canyon on Saturday morning. Me and your Dad and Ed and Greg and maybe Randy and Pat. You should come. We’re gonna look for Elk and Deer antlers and just explore. Last Saturday Heather, Me and your dad went hiking and found a massive set of Elk sheds. About 50 inches long each and heavy. It’ll be a blast. If you come bring a lunch and maybe the older kids, its a long hike up to the top, probably 3 to 4 miles round trip, maybe more and steep. We’ll be there most of the day. Let me know if you’re gonna come. Bring your camera, there are usually lots of deer and elk and we don’t have a telephoto for long shots.
