I teach Sunday School in my Church for 8 year olds. I’m LDS – we call it Primary Every teacher has a lesson book for the age their teaching and the lessons are coordinated. Anyway, every week I put together handouts and activities for the kids and it’s a pain. It takes time – and what frustrates me is that I know there are thousands of people out there teaching the exact same lesson and prepping the exact same stuff. I’ve looked all over the web and can’t find a site that presents info for primary lessons in an organized fashion. There are lots of resource sites, but it takes a lot of time and searches to come up with something good.
So, today I put together a site we’re calling www.LDSLessonHelp.com – it has categories for all major lesson areas so teachers of all different classes can find organized info on their lessons. I’m just getting it started – it’s not even 24 hours old yet. I’ve got the main part of the board – a phpBB bullentin board – all set up. That’s why I haven’t blogged today until now.
So, if you’re LDS and especially if you’re a teacher, check out the new site!
