When 2.0: Esther Dyson

Esther Dyson is presenting the keynote this morning. She’s talking about how an “event” such as this conference we’re at is really a ‘nothing’ it doesn’t really exist, but it is a coordination of time and attendance, it was created by coordination or calendaring.

Interestingly, because this workshop is about time, there are running jokes, mostly to make the underlying point, that people are late, getting the event started is running late, etc. Being on time today will be pretty important.

It’s 8:30 and she is done.

  1. I’m all over that! Esther rocks–but for my pea-sized brain, give me that data in a visual format and make it uploadable and downloadable and I’ll feel like it’s mine and then I can share it.

Just me…always trying to make info into something tangible otherwise as Esther says, it just doesn’t exist!
