Update on the December Geek Dinner

For those who don’t know about the Utah Geek Dinners, they are a social gathering for ALL technologists. They’re put on by an organization I started with Aaron Zupancic called DevUtah. The primary goal of DevUtah is to help foster a non-denominational community in Utah – which means all languages, platforms, professions and preferences are welcome. This is NOT meant to be a replacement for User Groups, in fact we strongly support all user groups and promote them at our events. We welcome Geeks and non-Geeks alike, we especially wecome business people who are looking for ways to connect with geeks – advertising jobs and availability is another feature of DevUtah events. We’ve invited lots of non-geeks and half-geeks including CEOs, Business Owners, Entrepreneur groups, Venture Capitalists, headhunters, professors and politicians. We hope to grow to be a huge gathering where unique business connections can be made. If you can’t attend, but are interested in being on our mailing list, you’ll find it at www.devutah.com.

We are finally ready to announce a location for Tuesday’s Dinner! (at least I didn’t wait until Monday night ;) )
Here is the updated info on the Dinner:

Tuesday, Dec 20th 6:00 pm at the Mayan Restaurant, on the third floor.

Dinner will be a buffet and will cost $12.95 per person.
The Mayan Restaurant is located at 9400 S. State St. in Sandy.
Their website is here And a map is here

We have to provide them with a final count by 5 pm on Monday. Therefore, registrations on the wiki will CLOSE MONDAY at 4:30 PM. Please be sure to update whether or not you will be attending by then!

Remember, advertising for the dinners is a group effort – anyone who can blog about it, post it on a user group board etc is greatly appreciated!
