At CES 2006 in Las Vegas

I’m in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). What a HUGE show! There are tons of incredible things going on and the exhibit floor is incredible! I spent a large portion of the day today checking out exhibits.

I found a great US based importer of electronic goods from Taiwan.

Saw a cool satellite system for vehicles

Road Safety has a very cool system for tracking what goes on in your car and helping to keep drivers from driving recklessly - gotta get me one of these!

I finally found a good Skype headset!

I watched an incredible demo of Canon’s new High Definition camera - the XLH1. This absolutely amazing camera is only $9,000.00! Comprable systems are around $40k!

Saw an extremely cool in vehicle computer system from Stargate Mobile, I think we’re going to try to partner with them.

I also bought a bootable thumb drive from FingerGear, should be interesting to play around with and see if we can use them for something cool.

Anyway, it was a fun day, i’m very worn out from walking. I should have brought my pedometer - i’ll bet i walked around 10 miles today!

Tomorrow we have keynotes from Yahoo and Google’s CEOs. Going to be an interesting day!

  1. Hi Phil,

I just arrived in Vegas Sunday afternoon preparatory to a talk at Affiliate Summit on Monday. Drop me an email if you are still in town.
