Addicted to my Treo

I just read a post by one of my co-workers, Brock Blake, about how like would be without his BlackBerry. I can totally relate. Readers of my blog will know that I got one of the new Treo 700′s a couple months ago and it has greatly impacted my life. I use 4SmartPhone (thanks to Ryan Money for the recommendation) to aggregate 6 of my email accounts into one, then that account is pulled to my phone. It synchs everything for me – my emails, contacts, calendar and tasks between my phone, online, and both my laptops. The beauty of this is that if I schedule a meeting on my phone, it shows up in my calendar on my laptop. Likewise, if I read an email on my laptop it shows up as read on my phone.

Another great thing I did with my Treo is to install chat software from www.handango.com on it. It makes it so I can sign onto MSN, Yahoo and Google chat from my phone and chat with people as if I were on my computer. It works great! All this combined with Text Messaging makes my phone a COMPLETE communication device. I also have my Flickr account setup as a contact on my phone so when I take a picture with my Treo I can immediately send it to Flickr – it’s literally online in a minute or two.

So, what does all this mean? Well, besides my wife lamenting for life before my Treo ;) it means that I am able to communicate with anybody in almost any fashion at any time.

……. so why is it so hard for so many people to get ahold of me??? The trick is to figure out what I’m doing so you’ll know what type of communication I’m able to use at that time!!
