… And We’re Back!!!

Good Grief!!! A few days ago a hacker managed to break into my host provider and destroyed my site! I haven’t had time to really dig into it and get it fixed until tonight. So, sorry for the disappearing act, i’m glad to finally be back!

The biggest thing going on right now is the initial beta release of TagJungle tomorrow! We’ve been pullilng on this thing for a long time and while it’s not yet perfect, it’s close enough that we want to share it with people and start getting some use out of it. We have a launch party planned for tomorrow (Sept 20th) details are on the DevUtah blog. This will hopefully be a lot of fun, we’re trying to do a little Silicon Valley style launch – we’re hoping that other companies will want to start launching products this way as well. It would be really cool if lots of local companies decided to start sharing their products with the local community and launched them through the local community.

We’re also announcing the new name of our company tomorrow – leaving Provo Labs Solutions behind. Our new site is almost ready to go.

Things are still a little rocky here at our little startup but they are going much better than a few weeks ago and we’re still pretty confident that we’re going to make it and that we all made the right decision to build this thing out.

The Utah CodeAway is happening this weekend – check out their site for details. I won’t be able to make it but i’m hoping to attend the next one.

I’ve also been wanting to blog about an interesting project my friend Matthew Reinbold is doing, he’s trying to build a new Geek T-Shirt company in 30 days that will make enough to pay his car payment. He’s blogging about it daily and it’s an interesting read – check it out!

And finally, several of my good friends have recently published articles Janet Meiners, Chris Knudsen and Judd Bagley all have articles in this months Connect Magazine!

To help Matthew out and for fun I created a t-shirt design contest on my blog. He has an affiliate program through CJ. I’ll give the winner a free shirt. Add your t-shirt saying today.
On another topic: has anyone actually gotten the print version of Connect yet? I keep checking my mailbox but nothing so far.
