Politic20 Event Review

The Politic20 event with Chris Cannon was, in my measure, a HUGE success! Yeah, there were some problems, but we pulled it off! We had a sitting Congressman, about 30 bloggers in the room, and about 50 people online watching!

There were a LOT of things we learned about our concept, which of course was the whole point! We scrapped a few ideas, polished several others and came up with a bunch of new stuff. A lot of people provided us with some very good feedback on the event from a participants standpoint, for which we’re very grateful! We have put together a whole new site design and started working on it.

We have several new events in the pipeline now and we won’t have all our new features in place by then, so we’re moving forward with the events and making as many improvements along the way as we can. We hope that each event will be better and better.

I want to thank everyone who attended! Each of you gave us your personal time for an un-proven concept and we greatly appreciate it, we hope it was worth your time!

Yesterday, SLC Mayor Rocky Anderson confirmed with us that he would do an event with us like Congressman Cannon did! We haven’t settled on a date yet, but we’ll be announcing that soon. We’re also working on some things in Washington DC and some other things locally. Look for a lot of really cool events like this coming more and more frequently – politicians are LOVING this concept so far!

I’ve been gathering some of the posts and other things I’ve found from the event here, there are a lot of reviews and other things in it. If you find something missing, please tag it in delicious as ‘politic20′ and it will show up in that link. You can subscribe to a feed of it here.

Phil, I for one really enjoyed the event. Please let me know when you book Rocky. I wouldn’t miss that! Keep up the good work, and thanks for all you are doing. It is really cool to see how selfless this and so many of the efforts you and the others involved have been working lately.
