Overheard (little kids on technology)

Overheard: my 6 year old talking to my 4 year old while they were playing on their computers:
Naiya: “No, it’s on the internet”
Gibson: (authoritatively) “Do you even know what the internet is Naiya? You’re only 5.”
Naiya: (dismissively) “YES! It’s where all the games are!” (referring to HP games, Mattell games and Disney games)
Gibson: “And, it’s where you get movies!” (refering to NetFlix)
Not only did I think this was a cute interaction between my girls, I thought it was interesting that 4 & 6 year olds are defining the internet for each other based on their experiences with it - especially that as far as their concerned, the internet is where you get movies and games.
I also find it interesting that my 2 year old twins talk about iPhones, iPods, laptops and can differentiate Spiderman, Superman and Batman but don’t really know who Spongebob or Barney is.
