This morning I attended the BYU eBusiness Day and was able to attend a couple presentations and spend some time on the floor. The first keynote was from my boss, Paul Allen, he talked about ‘Approaching Omniscience’ which focussed mainly on how through technological developments that are currently, or have recently happened, we are able to Learn Anything and Meet Anyone. I don’t think I can really do the speech justice, so when it becomes available, I’ll link to the video of his presentation. Dr. Windley blogged about it here.
Throughout the seminar, I met a few new people and had a couple people talk to me about business ideas. As I left, some of the things Paul said in his speech clicked with a few things that I’ve been thinking about for a while and that he and i have talked about (around) a few times. I’m pretty sure I walked away from the seminar with a really good business idea, and as I’m pretty sure that Paul is thinking something along the very same lines.

You work for Paul Allen? Lucky guy! What do you do? I first heard him speak in February at an eBusiness lecture. I read his blog regularly and I’m extremely impressed with the man. I think he has an amazing outlook on life, is humble about his success, and has amazing business skills.
I arrived 45 minutes early to get a good seat at his keynote address on Friday.
