Mechanical Turk

While I was at the eBusiness seminar I was chatting with someone and Paul poppped up and said “Phil, you gotta come see this”! So I followed him over to Amazon’s booth and met Jeff Barr who was demonstrating the Mechanical Turk. The funny thing is, I was already thinking about utilizing the Turk with a project Paul and I have discussed using Riya.com with. We started talking about it in front of Jeff and asking him questions about what the Turk could do. Jeff starts talking about Riya as well and about Tara. Funny, what a ridiculously small world!

After talking to Jeff for about a half hour about our idea and Riya, we came away with a really good sense of what we could do with the Turk in terms of our project we want to do. I’m excited to goto the Riya launch next weekend and hopefully finally meet Tara and Munjal and chat a bit about what we have in mind.
