Made it to the Bay area yesterday. Spent an awesome day with Chris Messina, Tara Hunt, Raven Zachary, Scott Kveton and Jason McKerr discussing open source software and how to provide more services for open source projects. Look for some really cool stuff to come out of this group in the near future!
We spent the evening at an sdForum on microformats. Tantek Celik and Rohit Khare , Ryan from Technorati and Ernie (“Dr Ernie”) Prabhakar from Apple were presenting – it’s interesting to me to see people try to grasp microformats and what it’s all about. They make it way too confusing and complicated. There were questions from the audience that just made you want to stand up and yell “it’s not that complicated!”. I hope more people were able to ‘get it’ last night. Tantek and Rohit did a great job of explaining it and trying to help them understand.
After that, we had dinner with Raven, Tara and Chris. All in all a fun and intriguing day – brainstorming and philosophising on technology.
Today it’s MacWorld and who knows what else!
