Droppin’ some NYC!

(Blues Traveler reference in the title by the way)

It’s Tuesday evening and we’re in New York. We flew in yesterday, it was beautiful (finally) in Utah – nice and warm. It’s reportedly been below freezing here! Whatever the temperature is, walking around is a very chilling experience!

We spent the day at the Search Engine Strategies Conference Chris, Judd and I spent most of the day with PRWeb doing some Blastyx work for them. We also ran into Chris Pirrillo and did and interview with him.

The last part of the afternoon I spent with Adria going around town. We took a tour bus to the Empire State Building (this is my first time in NYC and Adria’s second) and took several photos in the freezing weather. After ascending 86 stories to catch the view from the ESB, we turned aound and went back down to hman leels. After that, we caught a cab and came back to the hotel so we could drop off our bags. Then we headed to the St James theatre on Broadway to watch ‘The Producers”. There is some HILARIOUS stuff in that show! My favorite (and probably everyone’s) scene is when they do the Hitler scene. That was hilarious!

After the show, we came back to the hotel and settled back in. We were just laying down for bed when the fire alarm went off. We got up and got dressed, I was about to unhook my laptop so i could take it with me, when the alarm stopped and they came over a loudspeaker and told everyone that it was a false alarm. Meanwhile, there were tons of people in the halls trying to figure out if we all really should be walking down 26 floors for potentially no good reason.

Pictures from the trip so far are available here on my Flickr Feed.
So, there it is. I’ll be attending the conference talks tomorrow, looking forward to that!
